軸突表面覆蓋著一層叫做髓鞘(myelin sheath)的絕緣物 質,髓鞘之間的無髓鞘部分被稱之為郎飛氏結(node of Ranvier)。 膠質細胞(glial cell)是腦細胞中另外一類細胞,該詞語源于希臘語 ,意思是“膠水”。大腦內的膠質細胞通常由三種類型的膠質細胞組 成:星形膠質細胞、少突出膠質細胞核小膠質細胞。星形膠質細胞是 一種呈放射形的大細胞,這些細胞通常會圍繞著神經元且同腦血管緊 密相連。形成血腦屏障(blood-brain barrier)[3]  ,該屏障能夠 阻擋某些血液傳播的病原或一些影響神經活性的化學物質進入。例如 :多巴胺和去甲腎上腺素如進入血液后就無法通過血腦屏障。小膠質 細胞是一種形狀小而且不規則的膠質細胞,其主要在腦損傷中起吞噬 和清楚受損腦細胞的作用。髓鞘是一種包裹著神經元軸突的脂類物質 ,髓鞘對神經信號的電傳遞具有著重要意義。神經組織是由神經細胞 和神經膠質細胞組成的,它們]都是有突起的細胞。神經細胞是神經系 統的結構和功能單位,亦稱神經元。神經元數量龐大,它們具有接受 刺激、傳導沖動和整合信息的能力。有些神經元還有內分泌功能。神 經組織是人和高等動物的基本組織之一,是神經系統的主要構成成分 。神經組織是由神經元(即神經細胞)和神經膠質所組成。神經元是 神經組織中的主要成份,具有接受刺激和傳導興奮的功能,也是神經 活動的基本功能單位。神經膠質在神經組織中起著支持、保護和營養 作用。 人體神經組織主要由神經細胞構成。神經細胞也叫神經元,包 括細胞體和突起兩部分。一般每個神經元都有一條長而分支少的軸突 ,幾條短而呈樹狀分支的樹突。神經元的突起也叫神經纖維。神經纖 維末端的細小分支叫神經末梢,分布到所支配的組織。神經元受刺激 后能產生興奮,并能沿神經纖維傳導興奮。神經細胞的胞體是神經元 的代謝、營養中心。在神經元的突起或腦體受到傷害或軸突斷離時, 如損傷部位距胞體較遠,則胞體可出現逆行性改變,胞體腫脹、核偏 位、尼氏體溶解,重者核消失。
The axon surface is covered with a layer of insulating material called the myelin sheath. The unmyelinated portion between the myelin sheaths is called the node of Ranvier. Glial cells are another type of cells in brain cells. The term is derived from Greek, meaning "glue." The glial cells in the brain are usually composed of three types of glial cells: astrocytes and less prominent glial nuclei. Astrocytes are large, radial cells that normally surround neurons and are tightly connected to the brain's blood vessels. A blood-brain barrier [3] is formed that can block the entry of certain blood-borne pathogens or some chemical substances that affect nerve activity. For example: Dopamine and norepinephrine cannot pass the blood-brain barrier after entering the blood stream. Microglia cells are small and irregularly shaped glial cells that play a role in phagocytosis and clear damage to brain cells in brain injuries. Myelin sheath is a kind of lipid material that encloses the axons of neurons. Myelin sheath has important significance for the electrical transmission of nerve signals. The nervous tissue consists of nerve cells and glial cells, which are all protruding cells. Neural cells are structural and functional units of the nervous system, also known as neurons. The number of neurons is huge. They have the ability to receive stimuli, conduct impulses, and integrate information. Some neurons also have endocrine functions. The neural organization is one of the basic organizations of humans and higher animals and is the main component of the nervous system. The nervous tissue consists of neurons (ie, nerve cells) and glial. Neurons are the main components of nerve tissue and have the function of receiving stimulation and conduction excitation, and they are also basic functional units of neural activity. Glial plays a supporting, protective and nutritional role in nervous tissues. Human nerve tissue is mainly composed of nerve cells. Nerve cells are also called neurons and they include cell bodies and processes. In general, each neuron has a long, less branched axon, and several short dendritic dendrites.
